Splendid light in the afternoon

I stopped by the church for a few minutes this afternoon. The doors to the inside of the nave were open–and I was taken by the beautiful light streaming through the windows. I took a few photos.

I also did a Google search for one of my favorite hymns “Now in the Fading Light of Day.” (I think this was composed by St. Gregory the Great — Te Lucis Ante Terminum). I found this lovely version–a compline hymn by the Benedictine Monks of Mount Saviour Monastery in Elmira, NY (Primitive Benedictines).
