A Bible Study group will meet in the Library of the Church on Tuesday nights of Lent (beginning on February 20th) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The sessions will begin with Compline and will then read the Lessons assigned to the coming Sunday. There will then be a discussion of the readings. All are invited and are welcome to attend.
The group will be led by Millard Cook, the Parish Administrator and Pastoral Assistant. Millard earned a B.A. in Early Modern European History (with minors in French and Spanish) from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. As a Benedictine Monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, he earned an. M.A. in Systematic Theology and the M.Div. (required for ordination). He served as a Roman Catholic priest for 12 years and pursued graduate studies at the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University in the Bronx where he earned an M.A. in Early Modern European History and the M.Phil. Over the years Millard has taught on the secondary and college levels and has facilitated numerous adult education classes in both the Roman Catholic and Episcopal traditions. He was received into the Episcopal Church in 2008.
